A new outdoor recreation facility could be coming to Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Peachtree Corners.
PitchPutt is asking the city for permission to open an outdoor recreation facility at 7067 Jimmy Carter Boulevard. The request, listed as special-use permit SUP2026-003, is still under review and has not yet received final approval.
The Peachtree Corners Planning Commission reviewed the proposal on Aug. 18. City Council then held its first reading on Aug. 25. A second reading and public hearing are scheduled for Sept. 22, when residents will have an opportunity to comment before the council makes a decision.
Local reporting describes the project as a small pitch-and-putt golf course. City documents include an application, site plan, survey and renderings.
However, the city has not listed an opening date, operating hours or admission prices. Those details may not be finalized while the project is still going through the approval process.
Why it matters
Jimmy Carter Boulevard is one of Peachtree Corners’ major commercial corridors.
The special-use permit would determine whether PitchPutt is allowed to operate this type of outdoor recreation facility on the property. Approval of the permit would not necessarily mean the course is ready to open. Additional construction, building or operating approvals could still be required.
For nearby residents, property owners and businesses, the Sept. 22 public hearing is the next important step.

Peachtree Corners City Council is scheduled to hold the public hearing and second reading on Sept. 22.
Until the council votes, the PitchPutt project remains proposed and the city case remains in progress.
